Common questions
What is max pain?
The strike at which the largest total value of options would expire worthless. It is a positioning reference, not a forecast.
What does open interest tell you?
The number of contracts outstanding. Rising OI with rising price is a build-up; rising OI with falling price is a short build-up. Direction only matters alongside the price move.
Is implied volatility shown?
Yes, per strike, from the broker where it is supplied and computed with Black-Scholes where it is not.
